Keep the Momentum Rolling, Grants Pass!
From Dollar Mountain's 25+ miles of world-class trails to our national-level BMX track, we're becoming Southern Oregon's premier cycling destination. A pump track at Reinhart Park completes the vision.
Building on Our Success
Grants Pass is All-In on World-Class Cycling
Since 2020, our community has invested in and celebrated two major cycling facilities. A pump track is the missing piece that brings this world-class experience to everyone.
Dollar Mountain Trails:
The Missing Piece: A Pump Track
National-Level BMX Track
With the grand opening of 25+ miles of world-class mountain bike and e-bike trails, Dollar Mountain has put Grants Pass on the map as a premier riding destination.
Our new, world-class BMX race track built to host a USA BMX Nationals event, proving our commitment to top-tier competitive cycling.
A pump track at Reinhart Park completes the vision. It provides a safe, fun, and accessible entry point for kids, families, and new riders, creating a direct pathway to the skills needed for our other world-class facilities.
What is a Pump Track?
A Playground for All Wheels
A pump track is a modern, safe, and exciting paved circuit of rollers and banked turns designed for bikes, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades. It’s a free, healthy activity that builds the fundamental balance and bike-handling skills that riders can eventually take to Dollar Mountain or the BMX track. It’s where the next generation of Grants Pass riders will be born.
Why Grants Pass Needs This
A Game-Changer for Our Community

A Hub for Community
These facilities naturally become gathering places. They bring together families, friends, and neighbors, fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where people of all backgrounds can connect and share a healthy activity.
A Proven Model for Success
Pump tracks are a proven success in towns across the country, including nearby Crescent City. They see incredible usage, boost local economies, and transform underutilized spaces into sources of community pride.
Healthy Fun for All Ages
In an age of screens, a pump track offers a compelling reason to get outside. It promotes physical fitness, improves balance and coordination, and provides a positive outlet for youthful energy in a safe, controlled environment.
Why a Pump Track is the Perfect Next Step
Completing Our Cycling Ecosystem
A pump track is the crucial stepping stone between a child’s first bike ride and tackling the trails at Dollar Mountain. It builds confidence and skills in a safe, controlled environment, fostering a lifelong love of cycling.
Creates a Pathway to Riding
Serves the Entire Community
While Dollar Mountain and the BMX track serve dedicated riders, a pump track at Reinhart Park is for everyone. It’s a free, in-town amenity for families, kids after school, and casual riders of all ages.
Maximizes Our Investment
By creating a pipeline of new, skilled riders, a pump track ensures our significant investments in Dollar Mountain and the BMX track are utilized to their fullest potential for generations to come.

The Data Speaks for Itself
This Isn't Guesswork. It's a Sure Bet.
In a comprehensive 93-day study conducted in Cologne, Germany, remarkable statistics have emerged concerning daily cycling habits and user engagement at local parks. The data reveals that on average, 3,483 laps are ridden per day, highlighting a vibrant community of cyclists who actively participate in outdoor activities. This impressive average not only underscores the popularity of cycling but also indicates a growing awareness of the health benefits associated with regular exercise.
Furthermore, the study uncovered that a staggering 89% of visitors remain at the facilities for over an hour. This high level of engagement far surpasses what is typically observed with conventional park equipment, suggesting that the cycling facilities are not just places for quick visits but rather hubs of activity and socialization. The allure of biking seems to foster a sense of community and encourages visitors to linger longer, fostering a more active lifestyle.
Additionally, it is noteworthy that 60% of users at these facilities are children aged 13 or under. This statistic highlights the success of designing a space specifically aimed at engaging the youth of the community. With a facility built to directly serve younger users, it's evident that these parks are crucial in instilling healthy habits from an early age.
Overall, the findings from Cologne serve as an insightful reflection of cycling culture within the community, illustrating its significance in promoting physical activity, prolonged engagement, and the importance of youth-oriented spaces.
